Standard First Aid (SFA) with CPR + AED – Freshers

Course Overview

The Standard First Aid (SFA) with CPR + AED course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills to respond effectively to common emergencies. This course meets the requirements set by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) and is essential for those working in schools, sports, community organisations, or workplaces where first aid readiness is critical.

Participants will learn how to manage injuries, perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This fresher course is ideal for individuals who have not previously completed SFA training or whose certification has expired.

  • Freshers: 16 hours (2 days)


Course Fee

  • Freshers: S$170


Subsidies & Funding

  • Up to 80% subsidy available for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents (subject to eligibility and SkillsFuture/SSG support).


Certification

Participants who successfully complete the course and assessments will receive a Standard First Aid (SFA) with CPR + AED certification, accredited by SRFAC. This certification is valid for 2 years.


Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Perform CPR on adults, children, and infants

  • Use an AED safely and effectively

  • Recognise and manage common injuries (fractures, sprains, bleeding, burns)

  • Provide assistance in choking emergencies

  • Apply essential first aid procedures until professional medical help arrives
