Occupational First Aid (OFA) with CPR + AED

Course Overview

The Occupational First Aid (OFA) course is designed to equip participants with essential first aid knowledge and practical skills to respond appropriately to medical emergencies in the workplace. The course focuses on common workplace scenarios and practical first aid applications relevant to organisations where designated first aiders are required.

Training is conducted in accordance with prevailing Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) requirements, with an emphasis on practical competence, confidence, and safe emergency response.

This course is suitable for individuals who are new to first aid training and require foundational occupational first aid knowledge.

Who Should Attend

This course is suitable for:

• Workplace safety officers

• Emergency response team members

• Employees designated as first aiders within their organisation

• Individuals interested in gaining comprehensive workplace first aid knowledge

Course Objectives

Participants will learn how to:

• Explain the duties and responsibilities of First Aider

• List the legal requirements under Workplace Safety and Health (First Aid) Regulations (Cap. 354A, Reg 4) Reg. 5 (2) for the workplace

• Check and pack contents of First Aid Box

• Apply first aid to accident victims in the workplace

• Manage a medical emergency at the workplace

• Manage victims of hazardous chemicals exposure

• Identify common workplace accidents requiring first aid treatment

Course Duration & Structure

• Freshers: 23.5 hours including 2 hours 40mins of assessment

  • Conducted over 3 days, including workplace safety content

• Delivered through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the course and assessments will receive an Occupational First Aid (OFA) certification issued by Singapore Ambulance Services and Training Pte Ltd, in accordance with SRFAC requirements.

• Freshers: S$290

Subsidies & Funding

• Funding support of up to 80% may be available for eligible Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, subject to prevailing SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) funding eligibility criteria.
